Surrey, B.C. – A sold-out Saturday night crowd packed Jamie Rogers Arena as Pool B Go Round 1 delivered another unforgettable evening of rodeo action at the 2026 Cloverdale Rodeo. With blue skies overhead and the perfect touch of evening breeze in the air, energy was building from the first event to the final buzzer. Fans were treated to world-class rides, lightning-fast runs, and dramatic moments from some of the sport’s top competitors. From big scores in the roughstock events to razor-close finishes in ladies barrel racing, the atmosphere inside the arena reflected the intensity of the competition as athletes battled for coveted spots in Monday’s championship finals.
Fans who couldn’t secure a seat for the sold-out Saturday night performance still had the opportunity to catch every second of the action through the Cloverdale Rodeo’s official live stream. The sold-out Saturday night crowd was treated to a thrilling bareback riding showdown as Idaho cowboy Colton Clemens topped the leaderboard with an impressive 86-point ride aboard Pickeral. The event delivered nonstop excitement from start to finish, with Kody Lamb on Mulberry Hill close behind at 85.5 points, and Mason Stuller matched up with Buster Scruggs posting an 85-point effort of his own.
Sage Allen added another standout ride with 84 points on Kate, while Leighton Berry rounded out the top five with an 83.5-point performance on Sleeping Giant. With the grandstands packed and the energy echoing through the arena, the bareback riding set the tone for an unforgettable Saturday night at the Cloverdale Rodeo.

Saddle bronc riders brought grit, and precision to the dirt Saturday evening as Layton Green captured the top score of the round with an 83-point ride aboard Bay Moon. Lucas Mazca stayed close in the hunt at 82 points, while Cache Schellenberg added a strong 79.5-point performance on Hoglunds Oak Garden. Fans inside Jamie Rogers Arena responded to every spurring run and hard-fought dismount, creating a roaring atmosphere as the Pool B competitors battled for a spot in Championship Monday.
During the saddle bronc competition, Nick Patterson and the horse, Spring Season, became tangled during a ride and went down together. The Canadian Pro Rodeo Sports Medicine Team responded immediately to provide medical support to Patterson, while the team from Duane Kesler Championship Rodeo attended to the horse to ensure its safety and well-being. Out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with event medical protocols, Patterson was transported by ambulance for further evaluation. Patterson was released a few hours later and returned to the rodeo grounds to take in the second Go Round for Pool B as a spectator.

Ladies barrel racing once again showcased razor-thin margins and blazing speed as two-time Canadian Champion Pamela Morrison and her beautiful buckskin, clocked the fastest run of the night with a 16.10-second performance. Sloan McFarlane and reigning Cloverdale champion Kyla Simmons stayed within striking distance with runs of 16.21 and 16.23 seconds – highlighting just how competitive the field remained throughout the evening. The combination of blazing speed, razor-sharp turns, and a roaring crowd created one of the night’s most exciting displays of athleticism inside Jamie Rogers Arena.

Bull Riding Results
The Saturday night bull riding was pure adrenaline from the opening gate, with Ashton Sahli electrifying the sold-out crowd by posting a round-winning 88-point ride aboard Perlich Bros Fallen Angel. Brock Radford on Glamorama and Edgar Durazo on Jack the Ripper, each delivered matching 86.5-point rides in a dramatic tie for second place. Garrett Green matched up with Hooligan and Jordan Spears on Down with the Devil, rounded out the leaderboard with strong scores of their own. Each eight-second ride was a display of toughness and fearless determination as they battled some of the toughest bulls in the sport.
The road to Championship Monday continues Sunday at 2:00 p.m. as Pool B competitors return to the Arena for their final go-round of the weekend. Every ride and every second on the clock will matter as athletes battle for a chance to advance to the 2026 Cloverdale Rodeo Finals, where another sold-out crowd will be cheering on the competitors in the high-stakes battle for the big cheque and a coveted set of Cloverdale Rodeo spurs.
