About the Parade
The Historic Downtown Cloverdale provides the perfect backdrop for the colourful parade. The City of Surrey unveils its stunning hanging baskets right before the Rodeo, and various local organizations will pull out all the stops with pancake breakfasts and other activities to get attendees in the Western spirit.
Expect an exciting array of floats, marching bands, dance groups, clowns, horses, dogs, vintage vehicles, fire trucks, and more. The Shriners, the parade’s largest participant for over a decade, will also participate, as will a number of Metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley businesses, entertainers, and cultural groups. With more than 1,000 individuals directly involved in the parade, there is something for everyone to enjoy!
The Cloverdale Rodeo Parade begins at 10:00 AM sharp, starting at the corner of 177B St and Highway 10, proceeding west on Hwy 10 to 176 Street, and continuing north to 58th Ave, before turning east and finishing at 177B Street. Road closures will be in effect by 9:30 AM, and access to the Town Centre will be on foot only.
After the parade, head over to the Cloverdale Fairgrounds for even more fun and excitement. General Admission tickets are just $15 for adults and kids 12 and under are free.
Parade attendees will also be some of the first to experience the new Action Zone, located just through the South Gate. This new venue is an evolution of the World Roundup Freestyle Skateboarding Championship. Fairgoers will be wowed by a variety of performances ranging from skateboarding to BMX to street dance battles. And, for a little extra country fair flair, the South Gate area is also home to exciting pig races and the ever-popular Farm Friendz agriculture zone.
