Surrey, B.C. – A sell-out crowd was treated to a high-octane sunset performance in the Stetson Bowl as Pool B competitors delivered an unforgettable evening at the Cloverdale Rodeo. Despite variable conditions brought on by a spring storm, the night was filled with thrilling displays of skill and speed.
Reigning Canadian barrel riding champion, Lynette Brodoway, laid down a blazing fast time of 15.96 seconds, captivating the audience with her remarkable performance. Brodoway’s victory highlighted the evening and set a high standard for the competition.
The bareback category was hotly contested with only two and a half points separating first and fifth places. Saddle bronc and bull riders faced challenging conditions making for an entertaining showcase of riding.
“It’s great to be in my home province with local crowds and the atmosphere here at the Cloverdale Rodeo,” commented saddle bronc rider Jake Watson. “It’s really special and one we don’t want to miss – that’s for sure.”
With Sunday’s Pool B go-round two and Monday’s rodeo finals sold out, spectators can still tune into the live stream on the event’s website: https://cloverdalerodeo.com/2024/05/17/watch-the-rodeo-live-streaming-all-five-performances/
